The StoryOverlooking the 4th hole at Washington National Golf Course, this original kitchen and living room was reimagined for clarity, function, and lasting quality. Leathered Taj Mahal quartzite anchors the space, wrapping the countertops and range wall in soft movement and understated luxury. A custom metal hood with brass strap detailing creates a strong focal point, complemented by warm metallic accents throughout.
Designed for performance, the layout features a reworked island with a prep sink and Brizo Rook faucet, along with polished nickel fixtures and a wall-mounted pot filler for cohesive detailing. A Sub-Zero refrigerator and high-end appliance integration—including a 48" Wolf range—bring both functionality and luxury. Appliance garages and streamlined storage reinforce clean lines and efficiency.
Rift white oak cabinetry, painted uppers, champagne bronze hardware, and OPUS Pescara engineered hardwood flooring bring warmth and continuity, while layered lighting and a leveled ceiling elevate the entire space. We tied in the living room space with a custom designed and built fireplace mantel in white oak and added custom built-in cabinets for display and storage. This luxury kitchen and living room renovation balances refined design with everyday livability.
